It's a process.
Normally it takes years to build up rich, nutrient dense soil for a garden with optimal yield, but our farm used to be a dairy. Lots of "stuff" got deposited, making our soil ready to go from day one! Even so, there is a delicate balance required to produce food without the use of harsh chemicals and pesticides, and to build the soil without burning it out. Our goal is to provide you with nutritious produce, grown sustainably, that tastes GREAT. We only use organic pest deterrents on the crops, and only if needed. We have a cycle of composting, crop rotation, and solarizing to naturally maintain the health of the soil. Our goal is to do things the way nature intended and to be responsible stewards of our little plot of ground so it grows in health for future generations.
